We are two American women, mid-twenties, living and working full time in Cairo. We have a three bedroom apartment (2 bathrooms) and it is absolutely amazing! We are seeking one female roommate to take our third room. Here are the details:

Rent is 1500EGP + utilities (which are minimal until summer months when electricity bill can be a bit high due to a/c usage... but that is everywhere in Cairo!), plus one month deposit required.

The apartment is fully furnished: a/c in every bedroom and living/dining rooms, automatic washing machine, wireless internet, satellite, landline phone, kitchen pretty much stocked with all cooking utensils. We have a lovely balcony that overlooks our long and calm street. The apartment is spacious, new, modernly and comfortably decorated, with appliances all under warranty. I have lived in the apartment for a year and half and have had only pleasant experiences with living in the apartment, this neighborhood, the bowab, and our landlord. It's a wonderful apartment, the nicest on our street (and cheapest! I looked at several before choosing this one!).

The room has one comfortable queen size bed, with hardwood floors, and lots of storage space - large wardrobe, dresser with vanity mirror, and two night stands, plus two full size mirros. This room shares a bathroom with one roommate.

The apartment is located in Degla, Maadi - a very nice neighborhood with lots of expats and tree lined streets. It's not as crowded as other areas and the harassment isn't as bad as in other areas. We are within walking distance of many restaurants, cafes, shops, supermarkets, and fresh fruit/produce stands. We are a short cab ride away from all of the popular streets in Maadi and in two metro stations. We are also within walking distance of CSA (the expat community center) and Medan Victoria (where the AUC shuttle stop is).

We're clean and considerate roommates, experienced in Cairo (if you're a newbie this might be useful), non-smokers, laid back, and stay pretty busy so that means we're in and out a lot. We don't have crazy, loud parties - we take our social lives outside to the various amazing places Cairo has to offer - but we're fun. Our apartment is our home, a great getaway from chaotic Cairo, and a nice release from what can also be a stressful Cairo. It's the perfect place for your rest and relaxation. It would be perfect for young professionals or AUC students. We're hoping for a long term renter (six months ideally), but will consider anyone!
