The original Balhannoth Cavern painting from which Mike Schley copied his painting in 2006
Did the designer copy his painting from it, or did the artists' ideas coincide? The designer confirmed that he designed the map from his own ideas and had not seen the 1777 map. Perhaps we are facing a unique event, which is a near-identical creativity between two artists in two different eras.
the 1770 map was neglected in an antique storehouse and was likely in the possession of an English patron during the British occupation of Egypt. The painting is available to us in good condition, and we have confirmed with experts and a laboratory that it dates back to the seventeenth century. It is available for examination and discussion before sale.
